Jim Cramer Says M&A Will Be Even Bigger in 2015 Than in 2014
2014 was a boon for mergers and acquisitions but some think that if the Fed starts tightening, it will end. Not so, says Jim Cramer.
2014 was a boon for mergers and acquisitions but some think that if the Fed starts tightening, it will end. But Jim Cramer says 2015 will be even bigger for M&A. Cramer sites 3 reasons for his prediction. First, he says, we don't have any growth overseas and the way you get growth is to buy more companies. Second, he says the activists will continue get deals done. Finally, he says the deals simply work. He gives Tyson and Hillshire as examples of companies that have made big buyouts. Cramer concludes that if the activists want it and there's no other growth, then there will surely be a lot of M&A in 2015.
