TheStreet's Jim Cramer wants better housing numbers because they are vital to the economy. Cramer says there are very good auto and non-residential construction numbers but housing starts need to go up. Permits were below 1 million, which doesnt help U.S. employment, it shows the mortgage restrictions are still way too strong, and shows that even though rates go down people are still having trouble getting a mortgage. There also isn't enough household information. Cramer says it is worrisome. Cramer also says gas prices are worrisome too. People want Cramer to endorse "Buy, buy, buy" but Cramer is saying "Hold, hold, hold."
