Jim Cramer Says Don't Put Much Stock in the August Jobs Number
Jim Cramer says the August number is simply too inconsistent with what he's hearing about the U.S. economy.
The latest jobs report from the U.S. Labor Department shows that the economy added only 142,000 jobs in August. Jim Cramer says don't put too much stock in the weaker-than-expected number. He says August is the most revised number and there are a lot of factors that could be behind the low number including concerns about affordable care and layoffs that we're starting to see in various places. Cramer says it's also possible that the number is wrong and will be revised up. Cramer says the August number is simply too inconsistent with what he's hearing about the U.S. economy. The bottom line, he says, is don't make any decisions off of this particular job number.
