Jim Cramer Says Avoid Supermarket Chains Like Sprouts and Kroger
Jim Cramer says it's too early to buy grocery store stocks like Sprouts and Kroger.
A downbeat earnings forecast from Sprouts Farmers Market (SFM) - Get Report shows you can't be in supermarket stocks right now, according to Jim Cramer. He says the companies are facing price wars and deflation, and the group shouldn't be touched. He said that includes Kroger (KR) - Get Report , but he does believe Kroger might buy some Rite Aid (RAD) - Get Report stores if Walgreens (WBA) - Get Report has to divest some of them to close its merger. Cramer recommends buying shares of Walgreens.
