Jim Cramer is eyeing the markets carefully following a tweet from President Trump.

In case you missed it, on the eve of the Federal Reserve interest rate decision, Trump tweeted that he's planning to meet with China's President Xi at the G20 summit next week.

Had a very good telephone conversation with President Xi of China. We will be having an extended meeting next week at the G-20 in Japan. Our respective teams will begin talks prior to our meeting.

On TheStreet's Facebook Live show Monday morning, Cramer said that the one question looming over President Trump's presidency as the U.S. gears up for the 2020 election, is what's going to happen to the tariffs.

When asked whether or not Trump's tweet Tuesday morning answered that, Cramer said that the tariffs show one key thing about the tariffs.

"I think that the president is not about trade. The presidents about trying to get the Chinese to stop stealing," Cramer responded.
