TheStreet's Jim Cramer prefers General Motors over Ford for his Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust portfolio. Although General Motors does not pay a dividend and Ford has increased its dividend several times, Cramer thinks GM has plenty of upside potential now that the U.S. government is out of the company. Jim Cramer still likes Ford and notes that in the same week in 2011 the stock traded at $18 and today it is a much better company. However, Cramer thinks Ford can go back to $18 but General Motors could go to $50.
