Wednesday, Jan. 6 will go down in the history books as a dark day for America. A day where our Capitol building, with our lawmakers and journalists inside, was breached by insurrectionists. And for the first time since 1998, blood was shed within the building with a woman being shot and killed.
And yet, Wall Street didn't seem to respond to the situation in D.C. To which, the obvious answer is that the market tends to be more forward-looking, but that might not be clear to people who don't watch the markets day-to-day. And is there another answer?
