Jim Cramer on What to Expect When Google Reports Q1 Results Thursday
TheStreet's Jim Cramer is keeping an eye on Google Thursday as the company prepares to post first quarter results after the market close. Cramer says Google has been a continual disappointment because they haven't been able to monetize simple things like YouTube. He notes that they did say in the previous quarter that they were going to spend much more time trying to figure out how to return some capital in some way. So Cramer says don't be surprised if they do something to make it so their stock should go higher. He says have so much cash but at the same time they have giant European exposure. Look for a short fall from Europe because of currency. It'll be a mixed bag as it always is with Google, he says. So why does Jim Cramer own the stock in his Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust portfolio? He says, because one day they'll monetize and then the stock will go up much higher.
