TheStreet's founder and Action Alerts PLUS Portfolio Manager Jim Cramer was pleased with Caterpillar's (CAT) rolling 3-month retail sales numbers, which were released on Wednesday.

Total machines retail sales rose 24% year-over-year as of May.

"I do like Caterpillar longer-term," Cramer said.
