Morgan Stanley released a research note this morning, in which thy reiterated their overweight rating on Microsoft (MSFT) .

One of the key takeaways from the note, titled, "CIO Survey Gives Confidence Secular Can Trump the Cyclical at Microsoft," was that, "Cloud computing, digital transformation and other software specific initiatives compose the top of the CIO priority list, and Microsoft appears well positioned to benefit."

As Jim Cramer told members of ActionAlertsPLUS.com in his exclusive monthly Members Only Call in November, "a secular trend is what I'm looking for."

Jim likes secular companies because, "Secular growth companies can grow regardless of what stage we're in...For this example I want to look at the Cloud space. We're talking Amazon (AMZN) , Microsoft and Salesforce (CRM) to name a few. We firmly believe that the Cloud represents the future of computing."

Microsoft, Amazon, and Salesforce are holdings in Jim Cramer's charitable trust portfolio, ActionAlertsPLUS.com.
