Jim Cramer revealed to Action Alerts PLUS members how he learned about Shopify.
Cramer said that his daughter was the one who turned him onto Shopify.
Here's how Cramer says it went down.
"Shopify is the world leader in empowerment. Case in point my 25-year-old daughter, I do not want to reveal her business plan for sustainable clothing. You might take it, but let me just say that when I asked her last year how she was going to get it up and running she looked at me like I had two heads and she said, "Well, dad, of course, Shopify," explained Cramer.
"I had heard about it obviously but this the same daughter who turned me on to Apple, to Google, to Etsy where she made pillowcases and to Amazon, to PayPal, to Netflix, Align Technology, hey selfie generation and Adobe...But she liked the Adobe Blue products. She used Adobe to be able to design a website. She did this long before anyone on Wall Street thought anything of them. What can I say? The kid is money. She explained to me that no big department store would pick up her line of clothing and these days you can't afford a brick and mortar address yourself. Not even pop up. With Shopify, no one knows who cares about these things," said Cramer.
