Jim Cramer Is Watching for User Growth at Twitter Tomorrow
TheStreet's Jim Cramer, Portfolio Manager of the Action Alerts PLUS Charitable Trust Portfolio, said investors will be watching for user growth when Twitter (TWTR) reports quarterly results after the close tomorrow, but does not think they will see it. 'I was doing Periscope for Twitter and then I started doing Periscope for Facebook (FB) and my numbers went up fivefold,' said Cramer. 'Twitter you just don’t get any traction and I think that’s a good metaphor for Twitter.' Cramer added that the 'momentum is gone' for the former high flier and at best the management might talk about some new initiatives. The Wall Street analyst consensus estimate is for the social media provider to earn 12 cents per share in its fourth quarter, on par with its profit a year ago. On the top line, the Street’s analysts are looking for revenue of $710 million compared to $479 million last year.
