Jim Cramer is a Fan of Google Parent Company Alphabet Because of its Cash Overseas

Jim Cramer likes the idea that Google is spinning off its self-driving car business, but he likes the company's cash even more.

TheStreet's Jim Cramer applauds the fact that Google is spinning off its self-driving car business, which will now operate as a stand-alone company called Waymo. TheStreet's Jim Cramer invests in Google's parent company Alphabet  (GOOGL) - Get Report  in the Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust he manages. Cramer says one of the reasons he has such a big position in the stock is because Alphabet has $50 billion invested overseas. He says if some of that money is repatriated back to the U.S., that's a good reason to own the stock.
