Jim Cramer Expects ‘Good Things’ When Kraft Heinz Reports on Monday
Jim Cramer will be watching Kraft Heinz (KHC) on Monday, August 10th, as the company reports earnings after the market’s closing bell. Cramer says that Kraft Heinz is a ‘big position’ for his charitable trust, Action Alerts PLUS, and he says that ‘we want it to get even bigger.’ ‘Why do I like Kraft Heinz?’ Cramer asks. ‘Because this is a company that has been taken over by 3G.’ In early July, what were formerly Kraft and Heinz completed their merger and became the world’s fifth-largest food company in terms of sales. The merger came two years after Brazil’s 3G Capital Partners and Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway took control of Heinz. ‘The Kraft Company did not historically have good gross margins,’ Cramer said, but adds that, ‘that is what the people at 3G… do.’ ‘They figure out where the fat is, they cut it, and you see great earnings,’ Cramer explains, saying that he thinks the merger of Kraft and Heinz is ‘brilliant.’ Cramer is expecting ‘good things when Kraft Heinz reports on Monday.’
