Jim Cramer: Defense Sector Wins No Matter Who Wins The White House
TheStreet’s Jim Cramer said the defense sector is a winner regardless of who ends up in the White House after November.
As Democratic and Republican presidential candidates gear up for key contests in Florida and Ohio on Tuesday, TheStreet’s Action Alerts PLUS Portfolio Manager Jim Cramer said the defense sector is a winner regardless of who ends up in the White House. When looking at the four major candidates, Cramer said all of them want defense spending to increase. ‘That means by Northrop Grumman (NOC), Lockheed Martin (LMT) and General Dynamics (GD),’ he said. Lockheed Martin is a holding of Action Alerts PLUS. The threats from terrorism and the instability in the Middle East have been key topics throughout the 2016 presidential race. The S&P aerospace and defense index (SPSIAD) lost four percent since the start of the year.
