Jim Cramer: Buy Facebook's Earnings, not Twitter's Monthly Users
TheStreet's Jim Cramer asks which is a better buy, Twitter or Facebook?
TheStreet's Jim Cramer asks which is a better buy, Twitter or Facebook? Cramer doesn't think Twitter is as good as Facebook because Facebook has actual earnings while Twitter is valued on monthly average users and growth acceleration. Cramer points out that in 2000 and 2001, the companies with actual earnings survived when the internet sector cratered; companies valued on monthly average users or revenue growth did not. Cramer reminds investors not to take this personally. Investing is not an emotional business, it's about numbers. Facebook's numbers are what the market wants: great growth and acceleration in growth. Twitter has good monthly average user growth but Cramer doesn't think Twitter is as good a buy as Facebook.
