Southwest Airlines (LUV) - Get Report posted mixed 2016 third-quarter earnings results prior to Wednesday's opening bell. The Dallas-based airline reported earnings of $0.93 a share, above analysts' expectations of $0.88 a share. Revenue came in at $5.14 billion, falling below Wall Street's expected $5.16 billion.
