According to a filing with the SEC, Jeff Bezos has sold off nearly $1 billion worth of Amazon stock. The founder of the e-commerce giant clarified that this is not an usual step, as he does this at least once a year to fund his aerospace company Blue Origin.
Blue Origin was founded by Jeff Bezos in 2000, in part, due to the entrepreneur's fascination with space exploration. The company has worked on developing rocket propulsion technology and vehicles capable of space travel.
