Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe Hopes U.S. Will Rejoin TPP Trade Deal

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has expressed his desire for the United States to rejoin the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal. Speaking in a joint interview with CNBC and Broadcast Satellite Japan, Prime Minister Abe said "Unfortunately, the U.S. has declared withdrawal from the TPP. Since we have come thus far, Japan must now take on a leadership role and bring the talks forward"

The Prime Minister explained how, following the departure of the United States, the 11 remaining members have been discussing how, as a group, they should move forward.
