Marley Coffee sales rose 153% to $2.1 million in its fiscal first quarter and that is evidence that the company's marketing strategy is working, said Brent Toevs, CEO of Jammin Java. Toevs said the goal is $10M in sales for 2014 and he expects to add a number of high profile retailers before year end to reach that target. He also said the company has not raised prices as a result of the surge in coffee prices and it will continue to spend heavily on marketing to increase name recognition. Finally, Toevs said the stock price is not reflecting the sales gains made by the company because it remains a new product.
