Jaguar's New Crossover SUV Puts Emphasis on Performance
The new 2017 Jaguar F-Pace marks the company's entry into the SUV luxury market. Athletic performance and sexy styling are likely to set it apart in the already crowded crossover segment. Inspired by the 2-seater 500 hp F-Type, Jaguar has refined its visual language by incorporating elements from across their product line to develop the F-Pace. Under the hood it has a 3.0 liter, 380hp supercharged V-6 engine. On the outside, it has a very distinct bulge in the hood, 22 inch forged wheels and a panoramic roof that will certainly set it apart from the competition. On the inside, the cabin has lots of top-stitching detail, grey wood trim, accent mood lighting around the center console and doors. "Jaguardrive control" includes rotating gear selector with sport or eco drive modes. In sport mode, the accelerator response is quickened along with steering and suspension dynamics. In this mode, drivers get a deep throaty cat-growl from the big dual exhausts. But this car isn't just about performance. It's also a capable off-roader with "All Surface Progress Control" which helps all four wheels maintain optimal control in all conditions along with torque vectoring technology which provides controlled braking. The F-Pace is spacious and practical and has multiple rear seats that can be folded down completely or individually making room for big family excursions. The F-Pace is built on an aluminum frame that provides stiffness and lightness while at the same time reducing weight and enhancing handling and braking.
