Italy Vote Resuts, ECB Meeting Highlight Week Ahead in Europe
The ECB could decide to extend quantitative easing at its meeting next week.
Europe is bracing for the results of Sunday's referendum vote in Italy on political reform, according to Real Money's Antonia Oprita, who says a "no" vote means there will be volatility ahead. Also in the week ahead, the ECB holds a monetary policy meeting, and Oprita says it's expected that bankers will expand the quantitative easing program by another three to six months. Additionally, the UK Supreme Court will hold four days of hearings on the recent Brexit vote, but no ruling is expected.
