Groupon and Staples have been in the doldrums during the bull market run but Alan Knuckman says it may be time to consider buying these names as well as an old school play on a growing economy.
There are a number of stocks that investors have seen spend time in the doldrums during this bull market run. Among them, Groupon, which wowed precisely no one after its IPO, and went on to replace its CEO Andrew Mason, and Staples, which was rumored not too long ago to be a potential LBO target for PE firms willing to spend big on a retailer with a lot of real estate. Still, says Alan Knuckman, thatâ¿¿s a potential play for investors to consider, especially after so many technology and retail stocks disappointed on either performance, or more often, first quarter revenue. Plus, Alan takes a look at a paper products company he says is an old school play on a growing economy.
