Verizon will offer its wireless 5G network in 11 U.S. cities beginning in 2017. Sites include Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Miami, Seattle & Washington, D.C. Nokia & AT&T are also collaborating to finalize fixed wireless 5G tests with AT&T's DIRECTV NOW. 5G networks are presumed to render speeds 10 to 100 times faster than 4G networks. 5G has the potential to link 100 billion devices with download speeds stretching 10 gigabits per second.
