Shares of Boeing (BA) - Get Report were lower Monday after Iran signed a nearly $17 billion deal for 80 Boeing passenger jets. The deal between IranAir and Boeing includes 50 single-aisle, narrow-body Boeing 737 Max 8s, and 30 777s, a wide-body, twin-engine plan. According to Reuters, Iran is also said to be close to another deal for dozens of Airbus plans. An Iranian official says that deal should be completed in the next couple of days. This comes after sanctions hobbled Iran's aviation industry for years, preventing the country from buying new planes from Boeing and Europe's Airbus.
