Katherine Ross: Steven Guilfoyle, Real Money Contributor joins me to talk about what investors need to know going into the presidential debates. Now, as you know, and as every investor should know, we're gearing up for the 2020 election, which means that we're also gearing up for all these different presidential debates. So I have one question for you and that is how should investors trade a presidential debate?

Stephen Guilfoyle: Well, it's safe to not trade the presidential debate because it's so early in the season and we don't know who's going to rise to the top. The keyword reading algorithms I like to blame for so much will seize on certain things, said by certain candidates who might be leading in the polls or close to leading in the polls. So the only advice I would give to you, the homegamers, is if you already like a stock, let's say healthcare, let's pick a healthcare name. Any one of these names. United Healthcare, CVS. If you already like a stock and you're thinking about getting in, cause I know CVS is near a bypoint. Maybe if these candidates speak poorly of something related to that stock and you get a dip, an algorithm created dip that won't matter for another year and a half. That's when you grab a few.

The presidential debates are underway.

So, for investors who are keeping an eye on the investing space while the presidential debates--whether they're Democratic or Republican debates--are getting underway, Real Money contributor Stephen "Sarge" Guilfoyle has some advice for investors.

Here's the biggest piece of advice he has.

"Well, it's safe to not trade the presidential debate because it's so early in the season and we don't know who's going to rise to the top. The keyword reading algorithms I like to blame for so much will seize on certain things, said by certain candidates who might be leading in the polls were close leading in the polls," he said.

But, he also has a sector and even some names for investors to watch during the debates.

He's keeping a close eye on healthcare and healthcare names like United Healthcare (UNH - Get Report) and CVS (UNH - Get Report) .
