Keep a close eye on the markets as we approach President Trump's meeting with Chinese President Xi at the G20 conference in Japan later this week.

And, investors, take a deep breath.

Jonathan Corpina, senior managing partner at Meridian Equity Partners, weighed in on what investors should be doing ahead of the meeting.

"I think going into this weekend, I think investors feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We are getting close to it. It just, it's such a fragile situation that at any moment either side can make a comment that's going to move our markets, that'll move some sort of compromise away from the table," explained Corpina. "So I think heading into this, I think as euphoric, we want to be about a deal getting close. I think you have to play it very close to your chest. You got to play it very, very cautious because like I said, at any given moment, anything can happen. So from an investor side, I think overall you've got to take a step back and look at our markets and where we were and where we've come to."
