Retailers may feel a female-driven sting on International Women's Day.
Retailers may feel a female-driven sting on International Women's Day (March 8th). Women are urged to take the day off from both paid and unpaid labor, strikers will also boycott shopping and wear red in solidarity.
"Women represent 47% of all [U.S.] employees. Every business will feel the impact of a women's strike," said Brian Schaitkin, chief economist at Conference Board.
Globally, women top the world in controlling household & consumer spending by 73%.
