Protesters hit the streets in Washington, D.C., on the day President Trump took the oath of office. TheStreet was there as Trump opponents made their voices heard in the nation's capital.
The demonstrators donned costumes and carried giant puppets. They also held signs with messages like "The Emperor Has No Clothes" and "No Mandate."
Officers fired tear gas at demonstrators in other parts of the city. But the protest that TheStreet attended was relatively peaceful. Joining this protest was documentary maker and activist Michael Moore.
