Hungarian Officials Banned From U.S. Over Alleged Corruption

An embarrassing moment for Hungary after its head tax authority was banned from entering the U.S. because of suspected corruption links. Ildiko Vida denied her unspecified corruption allegations on Wednesday and said she was not planning to resign. The ban reportedly extends to 6 other Hungarian tax officials, whose names have not been released. Hungary said it had no plans to investigate the allegations and requested that the U.S. provide proof of corruption and release the names of those affected by the travel ban.
