Hewlett Packard announced Monday its plan to break into two parts. The iconic tech company said the PC and printer business will use the name HP Inc. The services business will take the name Hewlett-Packard Enterprise and be led by current CEO Meg Whitman. Meanwhile, Becton Dickinson agreed to buy medical device manufacturer CareFusion for $12.2 billion early this week. The syringe specialist said it would pay a total of $58.00 a share in cash and stock for each share of CareFusion, which is a 26% premium to CareFusion’s previous closing price. Finally, an American and two Japanese scientists won the 2014 Nobel Prize for Physics Tuesday for inventing the energy-efficient light source that led to the creation of modern LED light bulbs.
