How Big Can Airbnb get?
If Airbnb goes public in 2017, it could be one of the biggest IPOs of the year.
Airbnb is looking to leverage its 140 million global users by going beyond just booking rooms. Airbnb Trips will allow customers to experience excursions like running with marathoners in Kenya, Samurai sword fighting in Japan, even surfing with professionals in Malibu. CEO Brian Chesky says he sees his company moving "beyond Uber, into a sort of Apple story." Airbnb currently has two million listings worldwide. If Airbnb goes public in 2017, it could be one of the biggest IPOs of the year.
