Hostess Brands, known as the Twinkie maker, may go up for sale in early 2015, potentially valuing it at more than $1.6 billion. Apollo Global Management and C. Dean Metropoulos, which bought Hostess Brands out of bankruptcy last year, have received interest from potential buyers about selling the cake business. The maker of Ho Hos, Ding Dongs and Donettes now has about $200 million in annual earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization. Hostess Brands is also having conversations with investment banks Rothschild, Credit Suisse Group and Perella Weinberg Partners about advisory roles they are likely to have in a potential sale.
