Honda Dubs 2015 'The Year of Honda' With Intro of Jet, F1 Race Car and Acura NSX
John Mendel, executive vice president of American Honda, said his company is calling 2015 'the year of Honda'.
John Mendel, executive vice president of American Honda, the U.S. subsidiary of Honda Motor, said his company is calling 2015 'the year of Honda' because of several important product and technology introductions. American Honda's Acura division will offer later in the year the NSX supercar, a gas-electric hybrid, that could sell in the range of $150,000 and will be built in Ohio. The automaker, after a seven-year hiatus, is returning to Formula 1 racing in collaboration with the McLaren racing organization. Mendel said that low gasoline prices won't hurt the company that made its reputation designing fuel-efficient engines because American motorists want to save money, even when prices are low.
