Home Shopping Network's digital and mobile sales zoomed ahead and its operator HSN is pocketing the gains. In the latest quarter, HSN had over $837 million in sales, better than what was expected. Its profit came in at 74 cents, which also topped expectations. HSN reaches an audience of more than 95 million homes. CEO Mindy Grossman said its digital sales were up 7% compared to a year ago. Mobile sales now account for one sixth of HSN's total sales, and they grew 37% over the past year. HSN recently partnered up with TiVo to give shoppers the convenience to select what to wear by remote. It also has a live cosmetics show with supermodel Tyra Banks in the works.
