And this holiday season, Americans may have more money in their pockets to spend due to low gas prices, low inflation, and a low unemployment rate. According to FatWallet.com, 90% of Americans will spend the same or more money on gifts for friends and family members this year. TheStreet asked consumers on Wall Street: 'What are you buying for your loved ones?' and 'How much will you spend this holiday season?' We found people were interested in apparel, electronics, travel, and tickets to interesting events or activities.
