Hockey Legend Mark Messier Is Bringing Hockey to Da Bronx
Mark Messier brought the Stanley Cup to the Rangers and now he's bringing hockey to The Bronx.
Former Rangers hockey star and legendary hockey player Mark Messier talked to TheStreet's Debra Borchardt about the Kingsbridge National Ice Center in TheBronx. Messier is the CEO of the company and expects the center to open in 2017. The center will have nine skating rinks and will be the largest indoor ice center in the world. Messier had been working with Cascade Helmets to develop a safer hockey helmet for kids in an effort known as 'The Messier Project.' Bauer bought Cascade and Messier has continued to work with the company on developing safer equipment for kids.
