Women are still under-represented in executive positions in corporate America, but if they try some 'gamesmanship' they can get ahead, said Susan Packard, author of 'New Rules of the Game' and the co-founder of HGTV. Packard added that a lot of business is framed around men and team sports and women need to feel comfortable competing in this arena in order to win. She said one strategy that women can use is 'brinksmanship', but you need the courage of your convictions to succeed when taking that path. Finally, Packard recommends that successful female executives mentor aspiring women in order to give back.
