Black Friday is a battle for foot traffic for the nation's biggest retailers. According to Foursquare data, Black Friday foot traffic is expected to decline 3.5% year over year in 2016 compared to a double-digit decline from 2014 to 2015. "I think the good news for brick-and-mortar retailers is that things are stabilizing," said Jeff Glueck, CEO of Foursquare. Glueck said the big box retailers are expected to perform well in terms of foot traffic, including Target (TGT) - Get Report and Walmart (WMT) - Get Report . He said the biggest winner in that space is Big Lots (BIG) - Get Report . He said department store category is expected to see a 7% drop in foot traffic year over year. He said the best performers in that category include Marshalls, a division of TJX Companies (TJX) - Get Report , along with Dillard's (DDS) - Get Report and Macy's (M) - Get Report .
