Here's Why Shares of Unilever are Lower in Thursday's Session
Unilever shares fall after British supermarket chain Tesco pulls some of the company's products from its website.
Unilever (UL) - Get Report shares were lower Thursday after British Supermarket chain Tesco removed some of the company's products from its website after Unilever confirmed that it is raising prices in the UK to compensate for the British pound's sharp post-Brexit drop. The goods are still being sold in Tesco stores. Unilever's finance chief says that such price increases are a typical reaction to shifting currency values. The pound sterling has dropped by 16% against the euro since the UK's brexit vote earlier this year.
