Apple (AAPL) - Get Report shares rose Wednesday after reporting better-than-expected earnings late Tuesday. Jasper Lawler, a market analyst with CMC Markets, based in London, thinks the stock has reached a base. Shares ended Tuesday's session at $96.63. The tech giant sold 40.4 million iPhones during the quarter, beating estimates of 39.9 million. Earnings of $1.42 a share beat estimates of $1.38. Revenue came in at $42.36 billion, that's down from $49.6 billion a year earlier. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
