Here Is Why the Trump Rally in Stocks May Not Be Over Just Yet

The Trump rally in stocks may have more room for growth.

The markets are looking for details on Donald Trump's policies, which helps explain the S&P 500's flat performance over the past 30 days. But that doesn't mean there's no more room for growth in stocks.

"I think the U.S. equity markets are starting to hold up a little bit. They have a little more resilience," said James Hughes, chief market analyst at GKFX, based in London. "I think there are some big levels, especially in the Dow Jones Industrial Average, that we need to break below before we can say that this rally is totally over."

Since Nov. 9, the day after the presidential election, the S&P 500 is up some 4.7%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 6.5%.
