Micron Technology (MU) is set to report fourth quarter results on September 20. The report may have extra implications for the broader markets amid Goldman Sachs' downgrade of the stock on Wednesday amid DRAM pricing concerns.

Caleb Silsby, Chief Portfolio Manager, Whittier Trust pointed to how powerful exchange traded funds are in driving the broader markets. If Micron's earnings disappoint, other semis stocks in the sector can get hit simply because investors sell semiconductor ETFs.
