Brexit Is One Giant Step Closer to Reality

U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May won a major victory in her bid to withdraw from the European Union. The Lower House of Commons voted to give May permission to trigger Article 50, which officially begins the withdrawal process.

Craig Erlam, senior market analyst at Oanda, based in London, said investors are getting used to the notion of Brexit, which is why the pound hasn't reacted much to the news. The pound actually gained steam against the dollar on Thursday.
