The S&P 500 is closing in on double-digit gains for the first half of 2017 leaving investors wondering what's next for the broad index in the second half.
Sam Stovall, chief investment strategist at CFRA, sees the S&P 500 rising some 5% from its current level of 2,440 to 2,565 based on historical data. The forecast based on earnings expectations is more moderate.
