Economists expect nonfarm payrolls to rise by 185,000 in May. ADP said 253,000 private payrolls were created in May, according to a report Thursday, a sign that Friday's report from the government should be healthy.
Sam Stovall, chief investment strategist at CFRA, said Friday's numbers will be important in determining whether or not the Federal Reserve raises interest rates in June, amid a softening of recent inflation data.
