Tesla's (TSLA) - Get Report fourth-quarter and 2016 deliveries missed estimates, and investors should be careful of the stock.

"To me [Tesla] seems like it's one of these names that just pushes the envelope a little bit," said Ian Winer, head of equity trading at Wedbush Securities, based in Los Angeles. "I think that these production misses are probably indicative of an end-demand issue as opposed to a 100% production issue."

Tesla shares slipped 11% in 2016.
