Here Is How Many Times the Federal Reserve Will Raise Interest Rates in 2017

The Federal Reserve is on track to hike interest rates twice in 2017, according to one expert. "I think two rate hikes would look very good," says Lewis Altfest, CEO, Chief Investment Officer, and a principal advisor for Altfest Personal Wealth Management. He also said continued strength in the U.S. dollar may slow the Fed's 2017 rate hike plans. The Fed is widely expected to announce a rate increase at its upcoming December 14 meeting.
