Friday's jobs report had three big highlights, including the total number of new jobs created, says Cary Leahey, chief U.S. economist with Decision Economics. He says the creation of 178,000 new jobs is a good number. Leahey says another highlight was the growth in both the goods producing and services sector jobs. Leahey also says the unemployment rate, at 4.6%, was impressive. Looking ahead to 2017, Leahey says look for the industrial and financial services sectors to be standouts for jobs growth next year.
