Healthcare Trust of America Ready for Obamacare Boost in 2014

Occupancy in medical office buildings is soaring due to the Affordable Care Act and the trend is just beginning, says Scott Peters, CEO of Healthcare Trust Of America. The healthcare REIT saw its shares tread water last year due to the Fed's tapering talk, nevertheless, Peters is optimistic about 2014 as physicians expand their offices and employment grows due to Obamacare. Peters says Florida and Texas remain the hot markets and he looks to add additional square footage down South in the coming year.
